Marcey is a 20+ year resident of Port Orange running for Port Orange City Council. She raised a family in this wonderful community and desires to give back by serving as your representative. Her candidacy is rooted in a belief of transparency, equity, the environment, and collaboration. She promises to listen and represent the interests of the residents of Port Orange.
An Advocate for You
As your next Port Orange City Councilwoman, I will bring much needed transparency and accountability to city government. Too many decisions are made with little to no citizen input because our residents aren’t being engaged on issues that matter to them. When I make a decision on the Council, it will be the decision of the people, not of special interests or government bureaucrats.
Supporting Small Business
As your Councilwoman, I pledge to be a tireless advocate for our small business owners. They are and must continue to be the backbone of this community. We must restore the Ridgewood corridor to its former glory, and we do it by making it easier to open a business there.
We need to prioritize affordable housing so that our children and grandchildren can afford to make a life here. We need to make long-overdue investments in our roads and traffic systems.
I’m all for economic growth and job creation, but not at the expense of destroying our quality of life. Overdevelopment is degrading our infrastructure. We need to protect natural green spaces around Port Orange.
